Scan Abilities

Two Tier 3 classes carry a scan, a press-Q power that reveals hidden information for a few seconds. They're mirror images of each other.

The two scans

Class Reveals Use
Visor All task items on the map Skip the search: run straight to what you need.
Scout All distractors on the map See every NPC to route around patrols and set up safe rescues.

Both work the same way:

  • Duration: the highlight lasts 5 seconds.
  • Cooldown: 15 seconds at base, dropping to 12s with Class Mastery.
  • Who sees it: by default the highlights are yours alone. At mastery Level 3, the scan is shared with the whole team.

The Scout scan highlights every distractor through walls.

When to scan

  • Visor — scan the instant you enter an unfamiliar room to plan the shortest collection route. It turns big or maze-like maps into a straight line.
  • Scout — scan before pushing into a room or attempting a rescue, so you know which distractors are nearby and can avoid getting captured yourself.
