Meditation¶
Meditation is your proactive defense against distraction. Standing on a Meditation Spot builds Focus stacks, and each stack shortens how long a distractor can hold you.
How it works¶
- Maps contain Meditation Spots. Stand on one and you begin to meditate, gaining Focus stacks over time (one per interval).
- Each Focus stack cuts your distraction hold by 25%:
hold multiplier = 1 − (stacks × 0.25)
So 1 stack = 25% shorter holds, 2 stacks = 50% shorter, and so on. Stacked with a high Recovery class, distractions become very brief.
- You can walk out at any time — meditating doesn't freeze you in place. Step off the spot whenever you need to move.
- Focus stacks are spent/reset when you're actually captured, so meditation is insurance you top up between tasks.
When to use it¶
- Before a risky push — bank a couple of stacks, then go grab items from a dangerous area knowing any capture will be short.
- On long-hold levels — against Snack Attack, Couch Napper, or Midnight Fridge (45–60s holds), Focus stacks massively cut your downtime.
- As a low-Recovery class — Dash and others with poor Recovery benefit most from the extra reduction.
